CSI (Crime Scene Investigation): The Experience

“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” is an immensely successful television series that has already given birth to two spin-offs. And now; can you imagine entering a crime scene and being the one responsible for noticing and collecting every trace of evidence? The pressure’s on: your analysis of the evidence must be scientifically sound to crack the case.

Yeay,  CSI : The Experience is a popular traveling exhibition about crime lab forensic science and technology; that was developed for the Science Museum Exhibit Collaborative by the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History with support from CBS Consumer Products, the cast and crew of the television show, the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, and the National Science Foundation.

Now CSI : The Experience – interactive exhibit based on the hit cbs show; starting Oct 16th, 2010-Februry 20th, 2011 at Annexe Hall, Science Centre; Singapore. and starting December 24th, 2010-March 13th, 2011 at MOI, Mall of Indonesia; Jakarta-Indonesia.

YOU CRACK THE CASE – Analyze forensic evidence and Test your investigative skills..!!

The exhibit offers visitors an opportunity to investigate three hypothetical crime scenes in a multimedia environment.  This exhibit places visitors in the position of an investigator in order to fully — and naturally — “experience” the feeling of being part of a forensic team.

Singapore, CSI : The Experience – There are four crime scenes including a local story which is loosely based on a Singaporean crime scene for you to solve. You will get to be an investigator on site, participate in an online competition and stand a chance to win an iPad.

Indonesia, CSI : The Experience – There’re 3 cases in here : ““A House Collided”-first case features a simulation of the interior of a suburban home., “Who Got Served?”-second case presents a more gruesome scenario, and the last case is called “No Bones About It.” features partially buried skeletal remains. Woew.., really amazing!!

The beautifully designed sets have an authentic crime-scene feel and the props look real enough to be unsettling. After jotting down the appropriate notes, visitors are invited to begin the analytical steps of the investigation.

Depending on what case they have chosen, visitors will have to crosscheck their notes with photographic evidence, blood test results, bullet analysis results and DNA data, among other clues.
The last step is answering a few questions through the lab’s computer, which will determine whether or not you have solved the case and nabbed your man.

If so, you will be eligible for an official “CSI: The Experience” certificate, which is sent via e-mail. “CSI: The Experience” is a rare treat that should be fun for most people.

The price might be a little steep for some, but even if you’re not a fan of the series, it should keep you occupied for an hour or so.

  1. Its like you learn my mind! You seem to understand so much about this, like you wrote the ebook in it or something. I believe that you just could do with a few percent to drive the message house a bit, but instead of that, that is fantastic blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
